The Process
It starts with an idea, followed by the selection of reclaimed beads and feathers
Beadwork
Each artwork incorporates carefully sourced vintage beads and rare decorative elements, selected for their unique character, history, and beauty.
Feathers
Feathers are collected mainly from the foreshores around Chichester Harbour and in the South Downs countryside in the South of England.
They are then washed several times, dried, brushed and trimmed. For certain pieces I then hand paint them to create a complementary look. No feather gets discarded, as I use the very best for natural, unpainted pieces and those that aren’t of this standard are used for painted options to save any waste.
This considered approach reflects my commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, sustainability and creating truly unique works of art.
